During the event, Paliza highlighted the boost that the country's maritime and port development has received during President Luis Abinader's administration, emphasizing that with this work, there are now a total of 19 fishing docks delivered in different communities throughout the national territory. The pier was built with an investment of RD$18 million and has an approximate area of 170 square meters, with capacity for the simultaneous docking of about 20 boats. The structure includes metal piles reinforced with concrete, LED lighting, an access ramp, bollards for mooring, and a gazebo for the rest of the fishermen. Rodríguez stated that this work responds to a commitment made to the fishermen of Haina and highlighted that the development is also reflected in projects that directly improve the lives of the communities. With the delivery of this pier, the Dominican Port Authority adds 19 fishing infrastructures inaugurated in the country, benefiting communities such as Sabana Grande de Palenque, Boca Chica, Puerto Plata, Boca de Yuma, Miches, Sánchez and Las Cañitas, among others.
