Santo Domingo.- The Transportation Cabinet announced this Tuesday the implementation, starting next December, of the Public Transportation Fare Integration System, which will allow users to board Metro units, OMSA, corridors and the cable car with a single ticket.
The system will be implemented in the Greater Santo Domingo and Santiago, so these demarcations are being divided into several zones.

In a first stage, Metro lines 1 and 2, the Sabana Perdida Cable Car, and the corridors of Winston Churchill and Núñez de Cáceres avenues will be covered, according to a statement from the Transportation Cabinet. This was announced during a meeting of the Transportation Cabinet coordinated by Minister Deligne Ascención. In the meeting, the vice president of OMSA, Onésimo González, reported the incorporation of more buses to strengthen the routes of the National District and Greater Santo Domingo that have shown levels of weakness in the service, as well as other actions that will considerably improve the quality and efficiency of this transportation, which mobilizes thousands of passengers daily in Greater Santo Domingo.
