Santo Domingo, RD. – A weak trough will cause this Sunday passing showers between weak and moderate over several provinces of the country, mainly in the afternoon, according to the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet). Showers are expected over Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, Sánchez Ramírez, Monseñor Nouel, Santo Domingo, La Altagracia, El Seibo and Barahona, as well as other nearby locations.
For the rest of the territory, mostly sunny skies with isolated cloudiness will prevail. For tomorrow Monday, an air mass with less humidity and the incidence of a high-pressure system will limit the rains in most of the country, maintaining conditions of good weather, partly cloudy and sunny. However, some isolated showers could occur in the afternoon in Monseñor Nouel, Monte Plata, Hato Mayor and El Seibo, especially in mountainous areas. The temperatures will remain pleasant, especially at night and early morning, with greater coolness in mountainous areas and valleys of the Cibao, such as Santiago, La Vega and Monseñor Nouel. In the morning hours, episodes of fog or mist could occur.

In Greater Santo Domingo, the forecast for today indicates mostly sunny skies, with cloud increases and some passing showers. Temperatures will range between 21 °C and 23 °C the minimum, and between 30 °C and 32 °C the maximum.

For Tuesday, no significant changes are expected, due to the persistence of a slightly less humid air mass and the influence of the anticyclone, so a sky with a mix of clouds and sun is expected, with no precipitation. Summary: Passing showers will affect some provinces due to a weak trough, while the rest of the country will maintain a mostly sunny environment with pleasant temperatures.
