"In Haiti we have to develop the institutions, we have to develop the State. The State does not exist. And when we talk about a hybrid force, we are referring to a force that not only is dedicated to solving the problem of violence in Haiti, but also to create institutions in that country," explained PLD Vice President Temístocles Montás in a press release. You may be interested in: http://PLD asegura sentencia del TSE no anula su proceso de escoger candidato presidencial
He assured that the PLD assumed the commitment regarding the Haitian issue within the framework of the dialogue promoted by the Economic and Social Council (CES) to address the situation of the neighboring country and its implications for the Dominican Republic. "The Dominican Liberation Party contributed what it had to contribute in this situation. So we really understand that the government's management should be directed in the direction of what was approved in the thematic tables of the Dialogue of the Economic and Social Council," said the leader. He recalled that the pact has already been signed and the important thing is that those policies or decisions emanating from the dialogue begin to be implemented. He considered that President Luis Abinader should have taken advantage of the UN General Assembly to establish a position, as Latin American countries are doing, on the issue of "genocide" in the Gaza Strip.
