Police arrest three men and seize alleged drugs in operations in the DN

Santo Domingo.- The National Police reported that during several preventive operations carried out in different sectors of the National District, three men were arrested and several portions of alleged narcotic substances were seized, as well as digital scales allegedly used for their distribution. In an intervention carried out on Francisco del Rosario Sánchez street, in the Guachupita sector, Francisco Alberto Medina, 22 years old, was arrested. According to the police report, the detainee was found with a package containing a portion of a white powder presumably cocaine, two portions of a vegetable presumed to be marijuana, a transparent canteen with the same vegetable, and a digital scale.

While on Respaldo Seibo street, almost corner 30, in Villas Agrícolas, Leandro José Borrome, alias “Leo”, 34 years old, was arrested, who was found with a wallet containing two portions of a white powder presumably cocaine, in addition to a digital scale. In another operation carried out on Los Mártires Avenue, in the La Zurza sector, Dangelis Antonio Romero Rosario, 23 years old, was arrested. At the time of his arrest, a backpack was seized from him with two portions of a plant presumably marijuana, a portion of a white powder presumably cocaine, a portion of a rocky material presumed to be crack, and two digital scales. The detainees and the seized evidence will be placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry (Dominican Republic) for the corresponding legal purposes, for alleged violation of Law 50-88 on Drugs and Controlled Substances.
