Police arrest woman accused of fatally stabbing another in Capotillo

Santo Domingo.- The National Police reported this Saturday the arrest of Ana Mercedes Ramírez Arias ‘La Bola’, 40 years old, accused of causing the death of another citizen during an incident that occurred in the Capotillo sector of the National District. Ramírez Arias was captured through an operation carried out by police agents shortly after the event, which occurred in the same sector.

At the time of his arrest, a knife of approximately five inches was seized from him, identified as the murder weapon. Likewise, the Scientific Police collected another larger knife at the scene as part of the evidence. The victim was identified as Ana María Alberto Pérez, 43 years old, who died while receiving medical attention at the Dr. Francisco Moscoso Puello Hospital, as a result of stab wounds, according to the medical examiner.
