Police kill man accused of double homicide in War

Santo Domingo.- The National Police reported this Friday that it shot down in Azua a man who was wanted for his alleged participation in the homicide of two men on May 25 in the municipal district of San Antonio de Guerra, in the province of Santo Domingo. The man was identified as Ángel Israel Feliz, nicknamed "Tony" and "El Matón de Guerra", who died while receiving medical attention after being wounded by police officers, whom he also shot at, according to the National Police. Happy, who was facing an arrest warrant, was spotted by a patrol of the Central Investigation Directorate (Dicrim) during location and capture efforts, who, upon noticing his presence, attacked with a short firearm that he was carrying illegally.

The acting agents "were in the imperative need to repel the aggression, originating a confrontation in which the antisocial individual was wounded by firearms in multiple parts of the body, according to medical diagnosis, so he was admitted to the Taiwan Regional Hospital, in Azua, where he subsequently died", according to a statement from the law enforcement institution. The detainee was identified as the alleged perpetrator of the injuries that caused the death of Gilder Antonio Pérez, alias "Guineo", and Franklin Yunior Pacheco Ramírez, alias "Min", using the illegally carried weapon.
