Prosecutor's Office accuses a man for, allegedly, raping and murdering a 9-year-old boy

Santo Domingo.- The Public Ministry formally accused a man for allegedly raping and murdering a nine-year-old boy on April 18 of this year in the province of San Cristóbal, the Prosecutor's Office reported this Friday.

The man, Jesús Alberto Camacho Decena, was accused before the First Instruction Court of the Judicial District of San Cristóbal for the crimes of abuse, rape, and murder of the child. The investigation was initiated by the Public Ministry and the National Police following the report of the case presented on April 19, 2025. The Public Ministry, represented by prosecutors Ana Mercedes Pichardo Puello and Laura Cecilia Segura Cordero, legally qualified the case as a violation of articles 396, letters A and C, of the Code for the Protection System and the Fundamental Rights of Children (Law 136-03) and articles 295, 296, 297, 298, 302, 304, 330 and 331 of the Dominican Penal Code.
