Public Health monitors gastronomy businesses at the Coconut Festival in Samaná

Samaná.- The Ministry of Public Health, through the Provincial Directorate, carried out a supervision operation in the food and beverage businesses installed in the booths of the Coconut Gastronomic Festival, with the aim of guaranteeing food safety and protecting the health of attendees. During the day, led by Dr. Alcántara, provincial director of Public Health, four gallons of adulterated and unlabeled alcohol were seized, in compliance with health regulations.

The official explained that the inspections focused on verifying that the products offered were in optimal condition for consumption, preventing the sale of adulterated alcoholic beverages, and reinforcing the prohibition of selling alcohol to minors. With these actions, Public Health seeks to ensure that the festival, one of the main cultural and tourist attractions of the province, takes place in a healthy and safe environment for residents and visitors.
