Ramón Alburquerque's assistant denies rumors about his death and confirms his return to the country

Santo Domingo.– The assistant to engineer Ramón Alburquerque, Omar Wright, denied the rumors spread in unauthorized media about the supposed death of the political leader, assuring that he is alive, stable and lucid, although in a delicate state of health.

During a press conference, Wright clarified that engineer Alburquerque "is talking and conscious", therefore he described as false the information that reported his death. However, he specified that his clinical condition is very delicate, which is why he asked for respect for both the patient and his family.

"The engineer has not passed away. We ask the press and the public to respect the life of engineer Ramón Alburquerque and that of his family, who are deeply affected by this health process," said the assistant. Wright also reported that Ramón Alburquerque will be arriving in the Dominican Republic during the course of today, although he did not specify the exact time. He indicated that, upon his arrival, he will be transferred directly to a clinic to be stabilized, due to the conditions in which he will make the flight, and will later go to his residence. The assistant took the opportunity to thank the displays of solidarity received from the Dominican people and various public figures, including President Luis Abinader, Minister José Ignacio Paliza, the legal consultant to the Executive Branch Antoliano Peralta, as well as Luis García, owner of the television station where the statements were given, and businessman Manuel Estrella, who, he said, have been attentive and willing to collaborate in everything related to the engineer's health. Finally, Wright reiterated his call for respect and once again thanked the support shown towards Ramón Alburquerque and his family in this difficult moment.
