Santo Domingo.- The Government of the Dominican Republic expressed this Monday "its deepest condolences" to Spain for the tragic railway accident that occurred in Adamuz, Córdoba, in the south of the country, in which at least 40 people have died and more than 150 people have been injured.

On Sunday afternoon, a train from the Italian company Iryo, which had departed from Malaga (south) bound for Madrid with 317 people on board, derailed its last three carriages and invaded the adjacent track on which another Renfe train, the Spanish company, was circulating at that moment, which was heading for Huelva (south), and which also derailed.Of the total injured, 41 are currently hospitalized, of whom 12 are in intensive care units in Andalusian (southern) hospitals.
