Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Republic, through the General Directorate of Ethics and Governmental Integrity (DIGEIG), will participate in the IX Global Summit of the Open Government Partnership (OGP), which will be held from October 6 to 10 in Vitoria, Spain, with a delegation headed by Dr. Milagros Ortiz Bosch, reaffirming its commitment to transparency, citizen participation and accountability.
During this international meeting, the country will assume a leading role by officially joining the OGP Steering Committee for the period 2025–2028, consolidating its regional and international leadership in Open Government.
The Dominican Republic will present its most recent advances in transparency and participation, including the VI Open Government Action Plan 2024–2028 and the National Civic Space Strategy 2025–2028, a commitment made by President Luis Abinader during the VIII Global Summit held in Tallinn, Estonia, in 2023.

DIGEIG will use this space to exchange experiences, strengthen international alliances, and reaffirm the country's commitment to the principles of Open Government.
The Dominican delegation is made up of Elizabet Díaz, Director of Transparency and Open Government; Paola Cabrera, Director of Communications; and María Fernanda de los Santos, head of the Public Information Access Offices.
