La Romana. The preliminary report from the Aviation Accident Investigation Commission (CIAA) reconstructed the timeline of the final 41 minutes of the Gulfstream G-200 executive jet flight that crashed on June 7th at the La Romana International Airport, detailing the communications between the crew and air traffic controllers, as well as the damage sustained by the aircraft during the emergency landing.
According to the document, the aircraft, registration N318JF, operated by Aibonito Aviation LLC, took off at approximately 19:30 UTC from La Romana International Airport bound for Austin, Texas, under an instrument flight plan (IFR).

Three minutes after takeoff, the crew requested authorization to maintain an altitude of 8,000 feet and a heading of 300 degrees, indicating that they needed time to “resolve a situation”.
The preliminary report indicates that, from that moment on, a sequence of communications began between the pilots and air traffic control, while the crew evaluated the aircraft’s conditions and the necessary actions in light of the emergency presented.
The CIAA investigation seeks to determine the causes that led to the incident, as well as to establish the technical, operational, and human factors that may have influenced the development of the accident.
