Madrid, Spain. — The deputy and vice president of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Chamber of Deputies of the Dominican Republic, Juliana Oneal, highlighted the country's growth and consolidation as a high-level tourist destination during the opening of the International Tourism Fair (Fitur 2026).
In a conservatory with journalist Wendy Mora, as part of the special coverage by De Último Minuto, the legislator expressed her satisfaction at observing the enthusiasm of entrepreneurs, travel agencies, and international visitors for the Dominican tourist offer.

“Very happy to see how the Dominican Republic continues to consolidate as a high-level destination for tourists. Seeing so many entrepreneurs, so many travel agencies and, above all, the excitement of the people with our country, is something that fills us with pride”, said Oneal. The congresswoman pointed out that this progress represents an additional commitment from her legislative role, stating that she will continue to promote legal frameworks that strengthen legal security and encourage investment in the tourism sector. Oneal, who is a member of the Fuerza del Pueblo party, maintained that tourism will continue to be one of the main pillars of the country's economic and social development, due to its direct impact on the generation of jobs, foreign currency and opportunities for various communities.
