Santo Domingo.– This Monday
Samuel Pereyra Rojas took the oath as the new president of the Board of Directors of the
Dominican Petroleum Refinery (REFIDOMSA), a provision issued in decree 461-25.
The swearing-in was carried out by the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, at the Refidomsa facilities, where she wished Pereyra success in this new management.
In attendance at the event was the outgoing president, Leonardo Aguilera, who minutes earlier was sworn in as executive president of the Banco de Reservas.
Also, Pereyra was accompanied by the general director of Social Development Supérate, Gloria Reyes, the deputy Liz Mieses and Eduardo Sanz Lovatón, general director of Customs.
Pereyra served as the executive president of Banco de Reservas since 2020. A lawyer by profession, graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, he has a specialization in Commercial Law from the Panthéon-Assas University of Paris. He has developed his career in corporate law litigation, telecommunications, and foreign investment.
Additionally, he is a member of legal associations in the Dominican Republic, the United States, and France. He was the finance director of Luis Abinader's presidential campaign and is a founding member of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM).
