Santo Domingo.- A trough has been affecting the national territory during today, causing scattered and passing showers in different areas of the country, including sectors of Greater Santo Domingo, according to predictor José Medina, from the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet).
According to the report, these rains will continue until the early hours of the night, while during the early morning they will move towards the coastal areas of the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.
For tomorrow, Sunday, in the early hours, new rainfall is expected in provinces of the southwest of the country, although the rest of the morning and afternoon will predominantly have mostly clear and sunny conditions in a large part of the Dominican territory, due to the decrease in the moisture content in the atmosphere.

Indomet explained that the temperatures will remain pleasant during the night, typical of the time of year, favoring a cooler climate for the population. However, he warned about adverse maritime conditions on the country's coasts. In that sense, the meteorological agency reported that abnormal waves and winds persist, especially in the southwestern perimeter of the Caribbean coast, so it recommends that operators of small and fragile vessels remain in port until these conditions return to normal, as a preventive measure to avoid incidents at sea.
