Santiago.- Landslides caused by heavy rains have caused the collapse of a street in the Los Solares neighborhood, belonging to the Villa Magisterial sector, south of the city, leaving its residents incommunicado and endangering the safety of dozens of families.
A large section of the main road is impassable, making it difficult for residents to access, especially students who must travel daily to the educational centers in the area.

Neighbors in the area reported that people outside the sector had diverted the drainage of Villa Magisterial, which, combined with the recent rains, had weakened the ground to the point of causing a total collapse. "This was a tragedy foretold. We have been warning about the poor drainage for some time, and no one paid attention," said some community members. The affected street was reduced to a narrow path that represents a serious danger for pedestrians and drivers. Faced with the situation, residents demanded the urgent intervention of the municipal authorities and the Ministry of Public Works, warning that, if they do not receive an immediate response, they will hold peaceful demonstrations to draw attention to the problem that keeps them isolated and in vulnerable conditions.
