Sabana Yegua, Azua.– The overflow of the Tábara river, caused by the heavy rains recorded in the last few hours, caused the total destruction of the siphons located in the Cruce del Proyecto 2C, in the municipality of Sabana Yegua.
The collapse of these infrastructures has generated great concern among the community members, who warn that the situation directly affects the irrigation system and could negatively impact the agricultural production of the area.

Residents of the surrounding communities requested the immediate intervention of the authorities of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources (INDRHI) and the Ministry of Public Works, in order to restore connectivity and avoid further damage.
The rising river keeps families living nearby on alert, due to the fear of new floods.
