Emmanuel Núñez, 20 years old, the partner of the teenager Anelsy Ceballos de Jesús, denied any responsibility in the death of the 13-year-old, who died after receiving several shots allegedly at the hands of her sister Ankelsy Valerio de Jesús, on the night of January 28 in the Taína sector, in San Francisco de Macorís.
The young man asserted that the aggressor acted with premeditation and stated that she continued shooting even when the victim was already on the ground.

In a video shared on social media, Núñez maintained that he had a relationship of respect and love with Anelsy and denied having exercised violence against her. He reported that the conflict began in front of the home of the mother of both young women, after the aggressor arrived agitated and argued with him for no apparent reason. He indicated that the victim intervened to separate them and mentioned that there was a history of conflicts and threats between the aggressor and her family. Núñez stated that he tried to calm the situation and even disarmed his sister-in-law, who allegedly carried two knives, without realizing that she also had a firearm. Minutes later, while he was in a grocery store, the shooting occurred. Amid tears, the young man mourned the death of his partner and expressed his willingness to collaborate with the authorities. The aggressor surrendered to the Police in La Vega, alleging that her intention was to confront the victim's husband and not to cause the death of her sister. The case is still under investigation.
