They are intensely searching for a child and his grandmother after falling into a hole in San Víctor, Moca

San Víctor, Espaillat.- Rescue organizations are maintaining an extensive search operation to locate a child and his grandmother, after the minor made a call to the 911 emergency system alerting that both had fallen into a hole in this municipality, without having been able to find them so far.

Members of the Civil Defense, the Fire Department, community members, and agents of the National Police are participating in the operation, who have been deployed in the area indicated by the minor during the telephone communication since they received the alert.

According to information provided by the rescuers, the child managed to communicate with 911 and provide references about their location; however, difficulties with the signal and the lack of subsequent contact have prevented direct communication from being established again. The authorities explained that, based on the data provided, the rescue teams have combed the area at least three times, conducting exhaustive searches and thorough reviews of the terrain, with no positive results so far.

"We have worked with the coordinates and references that were given to us, but we have not been able to establish contact again. We have reviewed the area several times," indicated members of the search team.

The work continues uninterrupted, while the authorities call on the population to collaborate with any information that may help locate the child and the woman, amid growing community concern.
