They say goodbye to a teenager who died after being shot by her sister

San Francisco de Macorís. – Amidst an atmosphere of deep sorrow, family, friends, and community residents said their final goodbyes to the young woman who lost her life in a tragic incident that recently occurred in this municipality, where she was allegedly murdered by her sister. It is recalled that Ankelsy Valerio de Jesús, 22 years old, turned herself in this Thursday to the Regional Directorate of the National Police in La Vega, after being identified as the alleged perpetrator of the shooting death of her younger sister, Anelsy Ceballos de Jesús, 13 years old, in an incident that occurred on Wednesday night in the Taína sector, of the municipality of San Francisco de Macorís.

The funeral honors were held amidst displays of consternation and solidarity, while the victim's relatives cried out for justice and the full clarification of the case, urging the authorities to exhaust an exhaustive investigation to determine responsibilities. The event has generated great impact and shock in San Francisco de Macorís, especially because it is a conflict that occurred within the family. Neighbors and community members expressed their sorrow for the loss and lamented the circumstances in which the event occurred.
