Santo Domingo.- The Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) suspended classes this Thursday at its main campus, after a confusing shooting occurred on its premises, which left one security agent dead and another seriously injured.
The incident occurred within the university campus, when an individual (whose identity has not yet been revealed) opened fire on security personnel. Given the seriousness of the situation, the university's rectorate decided to immediately suspend all teaching activities at the main campus, as a preventive measure to ensure the safety of students, professors, and administrative staff. Classes will continue as normal in the regional centers, while information on the resumption of teaching at the main headquarters will be provided in a timely manner.
