Santo Domingo.– The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) reported that a weak prefrontal trough will be causing some passing showers, between weak and moderate, during this Saturday in several provinces of the country, with a gradual reduction in rainfall compared to yesterday.
During the morning hours, showers accompanied by isolated wind gusts will be recorded in locations of La Altagracia, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Samaná and María Trinidad Sánchez, among others. For the afternoon, the rainfall will extend towards La Romana, San Pedro de Macorís, Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, Monte Plata, San José de Ocoa and La Vega, due to the incidence of the trough. Indomet indicated that for tomorrow Sunday passing showers between weak and moderate are expected from dawn until the early hours of the morning in provinces of the east, northeast, southwest and Gran Santo Domingo, due to the drag of the east wind. However, in the afternoon hours a mostly sunny and partly cloudy sky will prevail, thanks to the entry of a drier air mass and the influence of an anticyclonic system.Weather Alerts
