Santiago.- A woman died and a man was injured during an alleged robbery attempt recorded on Saturday night in the Plaza Gómez Díaz entertainment center, located on Hispanoamericana Avenue, in the municipality of Puñal, Santiago.
The victim was identified as Jennifer Altagracia Rodríguez de González, 36 years old, mother of three children. According to the preliminary report, she received two gunshot wounds, one in the neck and another in the buttocks.
The deceased's father, Ramón Rodríguez, asked that the investigation be carried out "adhering to the truth", alleging that his sentimental partner, Jonathan González, and a police officer were with his daughter at the time of the incident.

The National Police reported that, according to their initial report, a lieutenant colonel off duty intervened during the attempted robbery, which would have caused the exchange of gunfire in which Rodríguez was mortally wounded. In the incident, two alleged assailants and a man who was at the scene were also injured, according to the official report, while another person involved managed to escape.
