Santo Domingo.– A young independent worker reported this Thursday that he had been a victim of physical assault, abuse of authority and robbery by an officer of the National Police identified as Major Gómez, assigned to C-1 of Naco.

The young man claims that Major Gómez approached him and ordered him to stop working at the place. To his surprise, he says that the officer reacted violently:He also claims that other agents detained him, applied a taser and subsequently transported him into custody. The complainant asserts that, upon being released, he discovered that his belongings had disappeared, including his cell phone and the cash he was carrying."He told me he didn't want to see me covering the engine and started hitting me," he recounted.
The young man requests the intervention of the corresponding authorities, as well as human rights organizations, so that what happened is investigated and those responsible are identified."When they released me, my belongings were gone. They stole my cell phone, my money, and everything," he stated, asking for help so that his case does not go unpunished.
