Santo Domingo. – President Luis Abinader ordered that the Comptroller General of the Republic and the National Treasury remain open this Friday in order to expedite the end-of-month payments to public institutions, despite the adverse weather conditions caused by Tropical Storm Melissa.
The measure seeks to ensure that public servants receive their salaries on time, even while labor restrictions are maintained in the provinces under red alert and teaching will be suspended nationwide as a preventive measure. Also, the country's financial institutions will be able to open their doors.
