Dominican Republic received 10.2 million tourists between January and November of this year

Santo Domingo. - The Dominican Republic received 10,284,251 visitors between January and November this year, which represents a growth of 3.1% compared to the same period of 2024 and 13% compared to that of 2023, the Ministry of Tourism of the Caribbean country reported this Monday. By air, from January to November 2025, the Dominican Republic received 7,884,421 tourists, 3% more compared to the same period of the previous year and 10% compared to 2023.

The arrival of cruise passengers increased by 3.4% compared to the first eleven months of 2024 and by 25% compared to the same period of 2023, reaching 2,399,830 travelers. In November alone, the country received a total of 1,000,484 visitors, representing a growth of 13.5% compared to the same month in 2024 and 16% compared to 2023. In the ninth month of the year, 715,916 tourists arrived in the Dominican Republic by air and 284,568 cruise passengers. The countries that contributed the most visitors in November of this year were: United States, with 39%; Canada with 19%; Colombia and Argentina with 6%; while Puerto Rico, Mexico and Germany represented 3%. Meanwhile, the airports that received the most tourists in the period from January to November were Punta Cana (62%), Las Américas (22%), Cibao (10%), Puerto Plata (4%) and one percent La Romana and the rest. Last year, the country received 11,192,047 tourists, according to figures from the Ministry of Tourism.
