"We are excited about this union, which not only strengthens our ties, but also allows us to jointly address the challenges and opportunities that arise in cross-border trade," he expressed. On his side, the president of ASOEXPOFRONCEM, Carlos Morillo, emphasized that the initiative transcends the strictly commercial interest and is committed to a comprehensive approach. "It is crucial that our projects include a social component that benefits the inhabitants of these areas. Economic development must go hand in hand with social well-being," he affirmed. The meeting was valued as a milestone in the relations between both guilds, with a view to consolidating a common agenda that allows for the dynamization of cement and construction materials exports to the neighboring country, while also promoting a positive impact on the provinces of the border strip. The meeting also served to identify shared challenges, explore growth opportunities, and outline strategies aimed at ensuring greater stability and sustainability in business operations. Both organizations agreed that this strategic alliance not only seeks to strengthen their associates, but also to generate a multiplier effect in the local economies that depend on trade with Haiti. With this approach, the guilds open a new chapter of institutional cooperation focused on promoting formal trade and exports, without detaching it from the commitment to the integral development of border communities.
