MIAMI. – Santiago Matías, better known as Alofoke, will celebrate an exclusive party tonight in the city of Miami to seal his recent and transcendental agreement with Sony Music, in a private event that will gather only 100 special guests, including prominent figures of Latin entertainment, urban genre artists and senior executives of the music industry.
As part of this strategic alliance, Sony Music Central America & Caribbean (CAC) becomes the exclusive distributor of all future Alofoke Music releases, in addition to being in charge of the promotion and marketing of those titles. Among the most recognized songs in this repertoire are "Qué linda" (Lomiiel, Donaty and Papera), "Con sonido" (Bulin 47, Ceky Viciny and Alofoke Music), and "Baje con trenza" (El Cherry Scom and Ozuna), viral songs that have set a trend in Caribbean urban music. "This is a collaboration," said Matías in an exclusive interview with Billboard. "It's a great opportunity provided by Sony Music, trusting the platform we have created for music and awareness in popular culture, not only in the Dominican Republic, but also in the Caribbean and throughout Latin America." Alofoke is the founder of Alofoke Media Group, one of the most influential conglomerates in digital media in the country, whose platform includes the stations Alofoke Radio 99.3 FM, the popular YouTube channels Alofokeradioshow (5.49 million subscribers) and AlofokeTVshow (over 1 million), as well as divisions dedicated to entertainment, music, and communication.Although the contract with Sony Music focuses exclusively on Alofoke Music, the alliance will leverage the group's entire media machinery, especially in the promotion of the successful Alofoke Music Sessions, live performances by emerging and established artists that are broadcast from the radio and YouTube.
