Bad Bunny claims he has excluded the U.S. from his concerts due to fear of raids
Bad Bunny says he has excluded the United States from his latest concert tour for fear of raids, given the possibility that agents of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will go to the venues to arrest people.
“There was the problem that the damn ICE could be outside (the concert). And that’s something we talked about and that worried us a lot”, says the Puerto Rican singer in an interview published on Wednesday by i-D magazine.
Bad Bunny adds that there were “many reasons” why he decided not to go to the United States, and that none of them were motivated by hate.
“I’ve performed there many times. All the performances have been a success. They have all been magnificent. I’ve enjoyed connecting with the Latinos who live in the United States,” says the 31-year-old performer, who will conclude his 30-concert musical residency in Puerto Rico on September 14, titled ‘No Me Quiero Ir De Aquí’ and a prelude to a world tour.
This series of performances comes after the release at the beginning of the year of his album ‘DeBí TiRAR MÁS FOtoS’, a tribute to his native island that fuses reggaeton with the autochthonous rhythms of salsa and plena.
Bad Bunny states in i-D that Americans can go to Puerto Rico to see him perform and that Latinos and Puerto Ricans from the United States can also go to the island or anywhere else in the world.
The “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS World Tour” will take you from November 21st to the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia, Peru or Spain, among other countries, where between May 22, 2026 and June 15, concerts are scheduled in Barcelona and Madrid.
