Bad Bunny concludes his residency in Puerto Rico urging to combat hate with love
San Juan. – Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny concludes this weekend his musical residency ‘No Me Quiero Ir De Aquí’, which comprised thirty concerts and began on July 11 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, in which he urged to combat hatred with love, accompanied by Maluma, Zion y Lenox, Nio Gracia, Chencho Corleone and The Marías.
“Hate only breeds hate. The only way to combat it is with love. If they give you hate and you give hate back, that’s war. So I tell you that no matter what your problems are, the best solution will always be love,” underlined the one known as Bad Bunny before his fans.
“This is the last weekend, but this is PR, this lasts all year,” said the 31-year-old singer, highlighting that in the Caribbean archipelago “the jangueo” (the party) and dancing are part of the culture.
‘La casita’, appeared on Saturday decorated with Christmas lights, a symbol of the passion that Puerto Ricans feel for this time of year in which they celebrate parrandas, a tradition in which friends and family go around the houses singing, dancing and playing typical instruments such as the maraca, the güiro and the Puerto Rican cuatro.
“We will be eternally grateful. 30,” expressed this Sunday in their Instagram stories the pleneros de la cresta, who to the sound of their tambourines have delighted the public in the thirty performances with their song ‘Café con Ron’ in which they collaborate with Bad Bunny and their own songs like ‘Los de la isla’ or ‘Rayo de sol’.
Tonight will be the last show in which the artist is expected to surprise fans with special guests as a grand finale.
In this series of thirty concerts that highlighted the identity and culture of Puerto Rico with native rhythms such as bomba, plena, salsa, and reggaeton, more than thirty artists accompanied Benito Martínez on stage, the vast majority of them Puerto Ricans, such as Residente, Ricky Martin, Vico C, Jay Wheeler, or Rauw Alejandro.
“I promise you, trust me. Value every second that life gives you. Don’t think about what has already happened, unless it’s to learn, what has already happened cannot be changed. Nobody knows what will happen tomorrow. What we can do is live today, the present and make the most of it”, added Bad Bunny.
In the decoration of the Colosseum, ‘La casita’ stood out, designed and built by Puerto Ricans Mayna Magruder and Rafael Pérez, inspired by a typical Puerto Rican construction, which housed athletes like Mbappé or LeBron James, or actors like Ana de Armas, Paco León, Benicio del Toro, Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz.
They all enjoyed, along with the more than 400,000 spectators, Bad Bunny’s most outstanding hits such as ‘Nuevayol’, ‘Titi me preguntó’, ‘Eoo’, ‘Turista’, ‘Voy a llevarte para PR’, ‘Me porto bonito’, ‘Yo perreo sola’, ‘Si veo a tu mamá’, ‘Baile inolvidable’ or ‘La Jumpa’.
The theme ‘What happened to Hawaii’ was performed on several occasions at his residence by prominent artists from Puerto Rico, such as Kany García, Luis Fonsi, iLe, Ednita Nazario, singer-songwriter Tito Auger, Lorén Aldarondo from Chuwi or Willy Rodríguez, the vocalist of Cultura Profética.
Following this residency, which has had an economic impact of $377 million for Puerto Rico, the artist is preparing to tour more than fifty cities with a world tour.
The ‘Debí tirar más fotos’ tour, named after his latest album, will begin on November 21st in the Dominican Republic and conclude in Belgium on July 22nd, 2026, with over two and a half million tickets sold.
