The event is part of the official pageant process, in which the participants are evaluated by the jury in the categories of swimsuit and evening gown. The results of this stage influence the selection of the finalists who will advance to the final gala.
The preliminary is considered one of the key components of the national pageant, as it allows the jury to observe the stage performance, projection, and stage presence of each applicant.
The 29 representatives come from different provinces and communities of the Dominican diaspora, as part of the national and international focus of the contest. Each candidate has been previously selected through a regional process.
The final gala of Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2025 is scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, August 10, at the National Theater Eduardo Brito, where the new representative of the country for the Miss Universe international pageant will be crowned.
