The pedophile and former vocalist of the alternative rock band Lostprophets, Ian Watkins, was killed in his cell in Wakefield prison (UK) on the morning of this Saturday, reports The Sun newspaper.
According to reports, the British singer was ambushed by two other inmates, who cut his throat with an improvised knife. Police and medical services rushed to the prison, known as 'the mansion of monsters', but they could not save him and he died of blood loss.

Watkins, 48, was serving a sentence of 35 years since 2013, after admitting 13 sexual offenses against minors, including the attempted rape of a baby. The suspects in the murder, two men aged 25 and 43, were arrested and are currently in police custody. "Watkins has been murdered in the most brutal way possible, and the attack was shocking even by prison standards," a source told the media, adding that it was a premeditated act. "He was, obviously, well-known and involved in the most repugnant crimes. That meant he was walking around with a target on his back, and that's what happened," the informant asserted. Watkins had already been attacked in prison several times and, in 2023, was transferred to the hospital after being stabbed by three inmates.
