Hundreds of Dominicans and tourists let themselves be carried away by the joy of the Dominican Carnival in the National Parade

Santo Domingo.- Dominican families from all over the capital and from different parts of the country attended the National Carnival Parade this Sunday, a gathering that brought together adults and children on George Washington Avenue on the Santo Domingo boardwalk to enjoy the tradition, music and color of Dominican folklore.

The attendees were able to closely appreciate the most representative groups and characters of the Dominican carnival. Among them, the Lechones de Santiago, the Diablos Cojuelos de La Vega and the Taimáscaros de Puerto Plata stood out, who displayed their creativity and energy throughout the parade.

In an interview with De Último Minuto, attendees expressed their excitement to be part of this cultural manifestation, assuring that the carnival is one of the most important festivities in the country and a way to keep popular traditions alive and transmit them to new generations. Beyond Dominicans, the parade attracted international visitors. Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Colombians, and Brazilians gathered on the boardwalk, some invited by the participating carnival delegations and others taking the opportunity to coincide with the celebration, as they revealed to De Último Minuto. The carnival not only stood out for the traditional characters and troupes, but also for the creativity and energy of dancers and artisans who made the parade a spectacle full of rhythm, color and fantasy.
