Nicole Westmoreland, Combs' legal advocate, said her client "remains hopeful" that Trump will intervene on his behalf.

Last week, a source from the White House revealed that the president is "seriously considering" granting a pardon to Combs. The artist was acquitted of charges of illicit association and sexual trafficking, but was convicted in July of two crimes related to the transportation of people for the purpose of prostitution.
After being denied bail for the fifth time, he must remain in pre-trial detention until the sentencing hearing, scheduled for October 3.
