The Spanish singer-songwriter Pablo Alborán surprised his Dominican followers during his visit to the morning radio program "El Vacilon de la Mañana", from the city of New York, by performing live a typical merengue version of his hit song "Quién".
The song, originally released as a ballad in 2012 and considered one of the most iconic of her discography, was popularized in the Dominican Republic in typical merengue by the group El Grupaso formerly known as Urbanda.

During his participation in the program, the presenters DJ Aneudy, Scarlet Molina and Frederick Martínez “El Pachá”, challenged the artist to perform his song in the popular Dominican rhythm. Despite not having had time to rehearse, Alborán accepted the challenge and surprised with an emotional and spontaneous interpretation, adapting with great naturalness to the typical merengue, which provoked applause from those in the studio and the appreciation of the listeners.
Pablo's interpretation stirred up Dominican internet users on social media and even fans of El Grupaso, who wasted no time in joining in by tagging the Spanish artist and asking him to consider recording an official remix of the song with the Dominican group.
Even the group El Grupaso joined the call, inviting their followers to tag Pablo Alborán on their social media in the hope of achieving a collaboration with the artist.
Dominican artists such as El Blachy, Badir, Ebenezer Guerra, Samuel Gonzalez, among others, joined the call, who in a gesture of solidarity supported their colleagues in the goal of getting Pablo Alborán's attention.
So far, Pablo has not provided any response to the request from the typical music group and the thousands of fans who, through comments, have been the link between both performers.
