Miami (USA).- The Puerto Rican singer, songwriter, and producer Jhayco was arrested this Tuesday in Miami-Dade County (USA), accused of possession of cocaine and cannabis, according to the judicial record of that Florida jurisdiction.
The 32-year-old artist, whose real name is Jesús Manuel Nieves Cortés, was arrested at 2:55 local time (6:55 GMT) in the morning while driving through the city of Miami at low speed.
The officers indicated that, upon approaching the vehicle, they perceived a strong smell of cannabis and observed a white powder on the pants and in the nose of the artist, who did not have a driver's license.
In the car's registration, the Police found two bags with about 7 grams of cannabis each, and in the detainee's pockets three transparent bags with cocaine, with an approximate total weight of 2 grams.

Known for hits like 'Ley seca' and 'Dákiti', the artist has collaborated with figures like Bad Bunny, J. Balvin, and C. Tangana.According to official records, Jhayco faces two charges, one for cocaine possession, for which he has already paid a bail of 2,500 dollars, and another for cannabis possession, for which he paid 500 dollars.
