Santo Domingo, RD - On Wednesday night, during the official return of the successful program Alofoke Radio Show, Santiago Matías, CEO of Alofoke Media Group, responded forcefully to actress and communicator Hony Estrella. It all arose from some statements that Hony recently offered in another space, where, although she did not literally speak badly of the radio program Esto No Es Radio, she made a series of gestures and expressions that suggested that she would not return to the program and that, even, seemed to put it down. These insinuations were not well received by Matías, who was visibly annoyed during the broadcast.
The general producer of the program stated that Esto no es radio had a determining impact on Estrella's career. "Esto No Es Radio saved your career, you hosted the Soberano Award twice because Esto No Es Radio revived you", declared Santiago, pointing out that, although he recognizes Hony's talent, her arrival at the radio space occurred in a phase in which she was not in her best professional moment. For him, the program gave her the opportunity to renew herself, evolve and connect with a new generation of listeners and followers.

Matías explained that the exposure Hony received on Esto No Es Radio was key for her to obtain great opportunities in the artistic field, including presenting the Premios Soberano, the most prestigious art recognition in the Dominican Republic, on two occasions. According to the businessman, this visibility was not a coincidence, but the result of her talent with the platform and the support given by the program's team throughout her time as a panelist. While expressing his disagreement, Santiago did not hide his disappointment with the communicator's attitude. He assured that this would not be the first time that Hony had spoken in a derogatory or distant manner towards projects that had welcomed and supported her at the time. For him, the actress's recent gestures reflect a lack of recognition for the work and the platform that helped her reposition herself in the media. In one of the most tense moments of his intervention, Matías launched a direct and forceful message to Estrella: "don't greet Hony, don't cross paths with us for our party, and don't write to us, ever. And I hope I never run into you, not even at a Soberano, because it annoys me that when they're by your side, we're cool, family, but when they have a microphone in front of them, they're the most moralistic," said the businessman. His words reinforced the accumulated discomfort and marked a distancing between the two. For now, Hony Estrella has not commented on Santiago's statements, remaining on the sidelines of the public discussion. However, what happened reveals a fracture in the professional and personal relationship between the communicator and the Alofoke team. What is clear is that, for Santiago Matías, Esto no es radio is a platform that deserves respect, especially from those who, according to him, achieved great success thanks to their exposure on the program.
