Santo Domingo. – Businessman Santiago Matías, known as Alofoke, announced this Tuesday the creation of an innovative virtual cinema platform, a project he is developing in partnership with Israeli investors and Dominican filmmaker Ángel Muñiz. According to Matías, the initiative will completely transform the way the public consumes cinematographic productions in the country, considering that this will be “the end of the traditional movie theater.” The innovative application will be available at the end of this year.

The platform, whose name will be revealed in the coming weeks, will offer national premieres in an accessible digital format, with the promise of democratizing access to the seventh art and allowing emerging producers to make their work visible. Matías revealed this information during prime time tonight on the reality show in the Alofoke House.
