Santo Domingo, RD. -What should have been a night of music and celebration at the patron saint festivities of Los Guaricanos ended up becoming national news, after National Police agents arrested urban singer Ángel Rafael Félix Díaz, artistically known as Donaty.
According to preliminary information, the arrest occurred after the artist allegedly displayed a gun during their participation in the event. The weapon was seized by the authorities, who sent it to the relevant agencies to verify its origin and whether it had the corresponding legal documentation.

Just minutes after the arrest, multiple recordings captured by the public were already circulating on social media, which propelled the urban exponent's name to the top digital trends. Amidst speculation, comments, and varied versions, the case went viral almost immediately. So far, the Police have not offered details on possible additional charges or the status of the ongoing process. However, the version that the artist would have allegedly displayed the weapon during his presentation is maintained, although the specific circumstances remain under investigation. Donaty, originally from the Cristo Rey sector, began his musical career in 2015 by sharing improvisations and covers on digital platforms. His most recent release is the song “Cadereo”, published under the ONErpm label.
