Jerusalem.- At least 14 people died overnight and in the early hours of this Friday due to attacks by the Israeli Army in the Gaza Strip, according to a count of deaths collected in hospital morgues by Gazan informants and shared on a joint platform.
Most of the victims are concentrated in Gaza City, where the arrival of five bodies was recorded at Al Shifa Hospital and another three at Al Ahli Baptist Hospital. The capital has been the focus of the Israeli offensive since mid-August, and this week it escalated towards the initial phases of a ground operation.
At least six people died in central Gaza (five bodies arrived at Al Awda Hospital in Nuseirat and another at Al Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al Balah).
In the vicinity of Nuseirat, two men were killed in an attack by the Army while collecting wood, reported the Quds News Network, linked to the Islamist group Hamas.
In addition, the official Palestinian news agency, Wafa, reported another drone attack near a roundabout in Nuseirat and a bombing in the area of the old mosque of Deir al Balah.
On the other hand, the Quds network warned of another bombing in the Tal al Hawa neighborhood, in the southwest of Gaza City and the target of numerous bombings in recent days.
An independent UN commission, human rights rapporteurs, NGOs, and a growing number of countries this week qualified the Israeli military offensive against the Gaza Strip as genocide, in which more than 65,000 Palestinians have already died, including more than 19,000 children.
