Santo Domingo. - Dominican Republic expressed this Wednesday that "repudiates" the attack against a convoy of vehicles in which the president of Ecuador, Daniel Noboa, was traveling, and expressed its solidarity with the people of that nation.
"The Dominican government repudiates the attack against President @DanielNoboaOk and expresses its solidarity with the brotherly people of Ecuador. We condemn all acts of violence that threaten peace and democracy", said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its social media.

The attack occurred on Tuesday afternoon in the southern Ecuadorian province of Cañar, to which Noboa traveled to carry out a series of official activities.
According to Ecuadorian authorities, the vehicle in which the president was traveling received bullet impacts and stone-throwing while heading to an official event in the municipality of El Tambo. The president was unharmed and continued with his agenda.
Following the attack, the Ecuadorian Minister of Environment and Energy, Inés Manzano, filed a complaint with the Prosecutor's Office for alleged attempted assassination against the ruler, noting that the presidential vehicle even received a bullet impact, something that cannot be seen in the images released by the Presidency itself.
