Writing.- The terrorist group Hamas declared its willingness to negotiate the release of the hostages it holds in Gaza, within the framework of the recent ceasefire plan of the President of the United States, Donald Trump. This led the president to urge Israel to stop bombing the Palestinian territory "immediately". Trump celebrated Hamas's declaration as a sign of his commitment to a “lasting peace,” but the group did not mention its own disarmament — a key element of Trump's proposal — and maintained that it should have a say in the future of the Palestinian territory.

Hours earlier, Trump had given the group until 10:00 PM GMT on Sunday (1:00 AM Monday in Gaza) to accept his 20-point plan or else they would face a "disaster". "The movement announces its approval for the release of all hostages, alive and remains, in accordance with the exchange formula included in President Trump's proposal," Hamas stated in a statement, adding that it was willing to start talks "to discuss the details." Trump's proposal, backed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, demands a ceasefire, the release of hostages within 72 hours, the disarmament of Hamas, and a gradual Israeli withdrawal from Gaza. Indirect conversations between Israel and Hamas regarding the hostages will begin this Sunday
Hamas and Israel will participate in indirect talks in Cairo on Sunday and Monday about the release of hostages held in Gaza and Palestinian prisoners, according to reports from media outlets linked to the Egyptian state. Both delegations "have begun to move to start talks in Cairo tomorrow and the day after tomorrow [Sunday and Monday], to discuss the organization of the conditions on the ground for the exchange of all detainees and prisoners, according to the proposal of [Donald] Trump," the American president, indicated Al-Qahera News, a media outlet linked to Egypt's intelligence service. Hezbollah said Donald Trump's plan for Gaza is "full of dangers". The leader of the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah, Naim Qassem, stated that Donald Trump's plan for Gaza is "full of dangers" and suggested that Israel would use it as a pretext to seize land and strip Palestinians of their self-determination. “In fact, this plan is a plan full of dangers,” he insisted; while adding: “It is Israel's project, which aims to achieve through politics after failing to achieve it through military action, aggression, genocide, and famine.” According to The Times of Israel, Qassem said that he would not "interfere in the discussion of the details" of Trump's plan, since "ultimately, the Palestinian resistance, Hamas and all factions are the ones who discuss and decide what they consider appropriate."
