Argentina.- A strong explosion recorded this Friday night in an industrial park located in the area of the Aeropuerto Internacional Ministro Pistarini (Carlos Spegazzini) generated an intense shock wave that was felt in several neighborhoods of the Buenos Aires city, causing alarm among the neighbors who reported a "deafening roar".
Following the initial detonation, a large fire quickly spread through the facilities, affecting at least two industrial floors, according to police and emergency sources. Firefighters from different jurisdictions are working against the clock to contain the flames and prevent the fire from reaching nearby warehouses with flammable materials.
Emergency teams reported that several firefighters had to run for safety during one of the partial collapses that followed the explosion. So far, at least 22 people have been injured, including workers from the industrial complex and members of the rescue teams, some affected by burns and others by smoke inhalation.
The injured were taken to different hospitals in the area, while search operations continue to rule out the presence of trapped people.

The windows vibrated and the reddish sky was immediately seen," reported a neighbor from Spegazzini.
