Texas.- A man stabbed another man multiple times, without warning, while they were traveling on a bus, during an incident that occurred in the community of Austin in the state of Texas, United States.
The murderer was identified as Deepak Kandel, 31, who killed Akshay Gupta, 30, with a knife because he allegedly reminded him of his uncle
The attack occurred around 6:45 p.m. on a CapMetro bus, in the 500 block of South Lamar Boulevard. A 911 call alerted authorities to a seriously injured person inside the vehicle, according to Law&Crime.

When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found Akshay Gupta with critical injuries. Although they tried to resuscitate him, he was declared dead at 7:30 p.m.
According to the police report, Kandel stabbed Gupta directly in the neck without any provocation while they were sitting side by side. Then, he got off the bus along with the other passengers and walked away.
Austin Police Department agents managed to locate him shortly after. When questioned, Kandel confessed to having committed the attack, arguing that the victim reminded him of his uncle.
Homicide detectives and forensic specialists processed the scene and questioned witnesses who witnessed the event.
The authorities have requested the collaboration of those who were on the bus, in addition to anyone who has relevant information about the case.
