The Movistar Team has officially announced the signing of 20-year-old Czech cyclist Pavel Novak, who will join the team starting next year and signs a contract that binds him to it until 2028, coming from MBH Bank Ballan CSB.
Novak arrives at the entity after finishing third in the general classification of the Giro d’Italia Next Gen - the Italian round for under 23s -, in which he was second in the mountain jersey and achieved a victory in the seventh stage, starting in Bra and finishing in Prato Nevoso. In addition, he finished in sixth position in the Tour of Hungary.
"For me, signing for Movistar Team is a dream come true. It's one of the most iconic and respected teams in the history of cycling, and being part of this project is a great honor and a huge motivation.
For my career, it signifies a very important step forward. I am going to be able to grow and learn within a WorldTour structure, surrounded by experienced cyclists, and I am sure that it will help me develop and progress as a rider. I am really looking forward to starting this new stage," Novak stated.
