Rolando Guzmán will assume the direction of the newspaper HOY starting August 1st

Santo Domingo.– Economist and former rector of the Santo Domingo Institute of Technology (INTEC), Rolando Guzmán, has been appointed as the new director of the newspaper HOY, a position he will officially assume on August 1st, as announced this Saturday by the media outlet’s Editorial Board.

Guzmán will replace veteran journalist Bienvenido Álvarez Vega, who is ending a career of nearly 20 years at the helm of the newspaper, a period during which he led the editorial line of one of the most traditional and influential media outlets in the Dominican Republic.

The designation was announced during an event led by businessmen José Luis “Pepín” Corripio, José Alfredo Corripio, and Manuel Corripio, in which the editors of the HOY newspaper and the directors of the various media outlets that make up the Corripio Group also participated.
