Some people in the White House believe that the mental faculties of the 79-year-old US President, Donald Trump, have "declined", according to a new article by the American journalist Seymour Hersh published on Tuesday.
"On repeated occasions, he has been credited with resolving international crises that he did not resolve, which some of his closest advisors in the White House understand as yet another sign of his growing mental disorganization and his inability to concentrate in high-level meetings," Hersh wrote.

"Trump, always masterful in dealing with large or small crowds, is no longer able to 'read the room' — quickly assess the audience and let his 'showman' instincts take over and get the audience involved," he added. To exemplify, Hersh analyzed Trump's speech at the Marine Corps base in Quantico, Virginia, on September 30, where he repeatedly praised his "greatest triumphs" and paid too much attention to the "unbridled contempt for his predecessor [Joe Biden] in front of senior officers".
At the end of August, on social media, hundreds of theories erupted claiming that Trump had died or was seriously ill. However, the occupant of the White House denied the rumors. "I have never felt better in my life," he wrote on his Truth Social account. In addition, the president stated on Monday that his health is the same and even better than it was decades ago.
