Berlin.- The number of civilians killed by the Russian attack last night against Kyiv has risen to 14, including three minors, according to Ukrainian authorities on Thursday.
“At 11:00 a.m., the information about 14 deaths as a result of the Russian attack has been
confirmed. Among the dead are three minors: a two-year-old girl, a 14-year-old boy, and a 17-year-old girl,”
announced the Kyiv Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the Ukrinform agency, the two-year-old girl died immediately from an explosion, while the other two minors died after being taken to the hospital in critical condition.
According to this media outlet, at least ten people remain missing.
For his part, the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschkó, stated in televised statements that approximately 50 people have been injured, of whom 40 have been hospitalized for treatment.
Tonight’s attacks damaged residential buildings in several districts of the capital.
They also caused damage to a shopping center, a kindergarten, and the building of the EU delegation in Ukraine, as well as the offices of the newspaper Ukrainska Pravda.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported in its morning update that the enemy launched a total of 598 drones and 31 missiles overnight – including Kh-101 cruise missiles, Iskander-M ballistic missiles, and Kinzhal quasi-ballistic missiles – against Ukrainian territory.
According to preliminary data, Ukrainian air defenses managed to neutralize 563 drones, one Kinzhal, seven Iskander-M, and 18 Kh-101 cruise missiles, but there were impacts at 13 different locations, while fragments of downed drones fell at 26 locations.
