The sabotage on the Polish railway was directed against the aid route to Ukraine

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk assured this Monday in a video published on the X platform that the sabotage produced today against a Polish railway line targeted a "key route for aid shipments to Ukraine" and emphasized that the culprits will be caught "regardless of who their instigator is". Tusk confirmed in previous messages that the detonation of an explosive device occurred on the Warsaw-Lublin train line, as well as "damage" on the same track, but at another point on that route. In another message written on X, the Polish Prime Minister calls the events an "unprecedented act of sabotage directed against the security of the Polish state and its citizens" and promises "firm action against those responsible". You can also read: "As we have done in previous cases of this type, we will catch the perpetrators, regardless of who their masterminds are," Tusk wrote. The police, emergency services, the prosecutor's office, and agents from the Internal Security Agency (ABW) and the Central Bureau of Police Investigation (CBŚ) are currently investigating the matter with the utmost priority. The spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior and Administration, Karolina Gałecka, announced that a meeting will be held today at the Ministry of Interior, which will be attended by, in addition to Tusk, the heads of Interior, Special Services and Justice, along with representatives from various state security and emergency agencies.

For his part, the Minister of Interior and Administration, Marcin Kierwiński, confirmed that "unfortunately, there is no doubt that it was an act of sabotage".

The rail traffic in the area is diverted to an adjacent track. Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced today that the armed forces will inspect approximately 120 kilometers of railway track between the section affected by the sabotage and the border with Ukraine in Hrubieszów.
